For ages now my V8 has developed a strange vibration between 2-3k rpm. Intermittent tho, one day ok the next it was horrible. Slight but harsh feeling.
Anyway, yesterday I remembered that lump of rubber bolted to the exhaust and I thought I would take it off to see what happens. Low and behold the harshness has gone.. I did replace the driver side rear exhaust about 18 months ago which thinking back is about when it started. It would seem that the replacement didn't like the exhaust damper even tho it is BMW. Odd. Just thought I would share.
