Tyre Pressure Valve or not? 04 Facelift

Guys, think i have some leaky tyre valves, so done an web search and the view was my car wouldnt have tyre pressure sensors on the value, and therefore went to the tyre shop with the plan to swap out all 4 corners.  Anyway, got to the shop, tyre off and low and behold, the valve had a sensor on it.  I have my tyre sensors replaced by BMW a few years ago, so trust they installed the sensor ones as my car needed them, and not just for the sake of them.  Are E53 Facelift 04 models meant to have tyre pressure valves on the valves? or should they just be standard valves?

it would seem my 03/2004 has the sensors on the valves, 04/2004 stopped using them.  >:(

my 10/2004 e53 didnt have the valve sensors fitted.
