Fitting E70 wheels onto an E53

Post by silvercavcon » Wed Oct 31, 2018 1:02 pm

Has anyone fitted e70 style 177 wheels onto an e53? I realise that I will need a set of centric rings but will the offsets be a problem on the front and back. I think the offsets for the style 177 wheels are 37 front and 20 rear.
Thanks.

Hi I had X6 alloys on my E53 offset was et48 fronts, et21 rears not sure about et37 on the fronts you may need the arch extensions might be better to test fit first they haven't to stick out of the arch otherwise it is a mot fail. I have my X6 wheels for sale as I have sold the X5 after 12 years along with some other spares eg new front and rear disc brakes, dog guard, towing mirrors BMW, roof bars BMW and new steering rack in box. In box me if interested

Ps you will need spigot rings front and rear on E70 wheels as they are 74.1 all round the E53 are 72.6 on the E53 , the X6 run 74.1 front, 72.6 rear.
