Brake Lines

Post by henrym3 » Wed Nov 14, 2018 6:11 pm

Subframe is out, have replaced lines to just in front of rear left wheel. Looking at the line under subframe I feel like I just saved my own life. Decided to bleed the brakes before fitting subframe and suspension. Used a one man bleed kit I’ve had for ever, took longer to get all the kit out than it did to bleed. Done it that way cos you just know that if you fit the subframe the joint underneath it will leak. I think it’s called "Sod’s law"

Dodged a bullet on mine as well Henry, some of the hidden bits of steel pipe were really corroded, quite scary when you uncover it all!

Always better to find rusty brake pipes before the pedal sinks at the wrong moment when you need it . :D

I was to late.
The steel part of the rear flexi burst on the test but a good place to burst.
