Cheers mate, hoping to put these on my X5 tomorrow, think they are going to be a nightmare to clean but look great on your X5.

Will put up pics when fitted and think I will be giving the arch extenders a miss.

The wheels are fairly easy to clean, it's the sides and back of the car that takes the time.

Can you post a couple of before and after pictures of your car, as potentially looking to go the other way to 19" or perhaps 20" wheels to see if I can reduce amount of crap collected on the sides.

Enjoy your new wheels

Hi my Dealer mate has got back to me , you will need this part as it is to conform with the mot as the tyres stick out of arch only by a few mm when looking down from the top of the arch . They have had several customers disregarding their advice and they have failed the mot due to this .
Some mot stations maybe more lenient than others ! at least you now have an answer .
Good luck

Thanks mate, appreciate you taking the time. I'm buggered as to how they fit though as they are only around 4" long and have some lips in the mold that suggest they slot in somewhere. They are nowhere near as wide as the msport arch's already fitted so scratching my head with them.

Very smart.

Would be interested to know if you notice and more muck and debris on the sides of the car with the larger wheels fitted

Hi Steve
How are you getting on with the 21" wheels?
I am still half looking for a set of 19" or 20" as the roads around here are not good, but to be fair bounced in and out of a few unavoidable holes, albeit slowly when possible and no damage to alloys so far.

No problems or issues at all mate, I am more than happy with my choice to put 21's on my X5.

No noticable additional mess or road grime but the car is black and the roads are pretty good where I live, I also personally have no problem with the Pirelli runflats which I know get a bad rap.

Thanks Steve

Maybe I’ll persevere with the 21” wheels then, we’ll until I need a new set of tyres or maybe unless a set of 20” come along at the dealers.
Got my 19” winters are going on at the end of October, so I should be able to compare 19” to the 21” especially as it’s been rather wet of recent, although the winters are not staggered.
