Mine is just a simple digital volt readout. Can’t remember where I wired it to (think the OBD port) but you can read it all the time so you don’t have to waken the car up to see the battery voltage. Good if not using the car for days on end

Nowadays I mainly do short runs but just been to Ireland and irrespective of distance or load I am always between 13.8/14v. I can say this with some confidence because of the item fitted in picture

Hi Henry - Did you flip this image somehow? Are you left or right hand drive? In the image your headlight on/off switch is left of the steering wheel whereas mine is on the right. But more importantly the presumably 12v reading is showing the wrong way round which makes me think you flipped the image but if you did then you have left hand drive. How did you flip the image?

Smeeagain, it was possibly from an iPhone - the stupid things flip images on PCs.. :headbang:

Question for the group.... I'm getting conflicting info. on what battery fits my '05 3.0d. Seems like most vendors state the 019 fits (what we call a DIN88) but the dimensions (353l x 175w x 190h) seem too tall. The BST will not clear the spare tyre carrier. My current battery is a DIN85 (353l x 175w x175h) and the BST only just clears the carrier. How can a battery that is 15mm taller fit under the tyre carrier?

I’ve never seen a 3.0d that didn’t use an 019 format battery. It should fit.

That latter DIN number and size looks like an 024 format. It’s possible that your local spec is different?

Yep, everything I can find say it will fit but I cannot see how.

I must say, I didn't measure the height of the DIN85 battery in there - I'm assuming the size from the spec. - maybe it's an odd size DIN85? :headbang:

When I replace it I really want the extra capacity of the DIN88 - I use the Webasto heater via remote start quite a bit over winter! :fuelfire:
