Rain Channel Profile Cap

Post by MarkCol79 » Sat Aug 22, 2020 12:21 pm

Hi all,

Someone was kind enough to 'borrow' this cap/bung/end piece from my E70 rain channel. Im looking for its proper name, and, although BMW tell me they don't sell it separately (probably why it was robbed!), I'm hoping you guys might know differently? It sits directly above the windscreen corner and is about an inch by 1/2 inch rectangular.

Any ideas where I can get one?!

RealOEM only shows a complete item (moulding) with no separate end caps listed which may be why BMW can’t supply.

Is item 3 on here (picked a 40d at random).: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpa ... Id=51_6375 what you are looking at?

I can’t see any other suitable part listed - looking through the Vehicle Bodywork & Glazing sections.

Call some recyclers, worth a shot if you can’t find new.

Thanks for the replies; it seems the part I need only comes as part of the full assembly, which I obviously don't need!

Breakers are the only way forward I think!

Perhaps try one of the windscreen repair companies, they may have a source for spares
