Led interior lights

Post by Themoog2 » Sat Sep 05, 2020 7:03 am

Swapped all the interior old school bulbs for white LED bulbs the other day. Only cost £18 off flea bay but anyway I highly recommend doing it as it totally changes how the car looks on dark evenings or mornings. It’s gone from dim to being able to see.
Range Rover next..

My e53 came with them all changed.
I noticed it straight away as it was delivered at night and when i opened it the first time it lit up like Blackpool lol.

I've toyed with this countless times (X6) i'm not keen on the yellow glow but don't want to feel I'm sitting in a goldfish bowl situation either.

I fancy some 'even' light distribution, just not sure ultra bright white is what i want to replace originals.

I have experimented with the footwell lights, supposedly with blue tints. I think the seller was having a
laugh though, they're the same as the ones i removed :(

Ah.. Now I wouldn't go for a colour. To match you would have to have a sunshade with 'Dave and Shaz' written on it..

Allow me to disagree, cool blue would be good for the footwells imo. I'm not sure i'd want to sit surrounded by intense white lights. It may be modern etc but as ever, thankfully we dont all like the same things.

You won't notice the intense white light when your sat in the car.
And to be honest i think it looks good from outside when unlocking at night.
But each to there own and all that.

I swapped mine out many years ago and prefer the led ones tbh. The only kick in when opening the door/unlocking etc so not too bad.

I’ve just had to change back to normal in the Alpina cos they keep failing, they’re the same LED’s as in the X5 which have lasted years. Can’t seem to find a solution. To me the LED’s looked so much better.
