Cheers buddy. Very pleased with how it’s all turned out. However my OCD is still kicking in so might be ordering all new door seals (the ones round the actual door aperture this time) too soon and some new rear lights as although Ryan tried to machine them the best he could they aren’t quite there.
Would you care to share a breakdown of the costs relating to the various detailing elements, leather ceramic coat etc etc etc

The inner rear lights on my 4.6 have never cleaned up well ( 2 attempts), and seem to dull down again quickly. I brought a new set of inner's but they have dulled down as well

I thought about an early E70 inner set but have never got around to trying them

Now relax and enjoy for awhile (just don't go around the back) :D :D
Thanks, results are superb and interesting on the lights. I am tempted with a new set but could go with aftermarket versions like the old one. Fitted LED ones to that and they’re still good after quite a number of years.

Much appreciated. Ah yeah haven’t really posted any of it completely standard. Will add some to the first post.

Congratulations on reaping the rewards of all that hard work
Cheers. Certainly a lot of outlay but results are definitely worth it.

Well hopefully once into 2021 we might be able to have more than 6 again. Well guess as it’s outside and socially distancing it’s be fine anyway lol.

I wonder how many are still owners and/or members? This was at Jason’s place - BW Chiptune. His crew did a mean BBQ for all of us :D
I still remember this and the Cosford meet I organised. So miss these big turnouts.

Think we’ve got to sort something next year.

henrym3 wrote: Sun Nov 08, 2020 6:05 pm Been following this thread from the beginning and have to say it’s impressive, as I need some paintwork done, not to this extent, much as I’d like but often thought about having the black plastic done but worry about how well it will take/stick, not peel off. Have you had any previous experience having this done that influenced your decision.
Thank you. Tbh the colour coding has stood the test of time easily.
I originally did this to the old 4.8is I owned way back in 2011 which is when the kit was first painted:

https://xdrivers.co.uk/forum/viewtopic. ... h+leathers

So when I purchased this new one beginning of September I decided to literally swap everything over. So before it was repainted, apart from a few scuffs etc it was still pretty good. Front bumper was stone chipped to hell and that was the reason for just getting it all done again. It never peeled so from that front it’s fine.

Tbh buddy I just stated everything I wanted doing and he gave me a total price. So unsure of the breakdown. Only thing I know was I paid his dent guy £140 for removing all of them from 4 different panels.
So it was full correction, PPF (but not total coverage), ceramic coating and all door shuts etc.

He didn’t need to do anything with the interior as the leather was done from John@Bespoke.
