Angel Eyes LED Upgrade

Post by shaz » Fri Aug 13, 2010 6:46 am

Hi,

I fitted new Angel Eyes LED bulbs bought from HIDS4U and they don't work :x

Does any one have any idea's as to what the problem may be. They and the connector fit pretty well.

Please help. Thanks.

Regards,

Shaz

Give them a call, I got two pairs, one for my X5 and one for the E39 and they both work great.

Thanks guys you people are great!!

Found the problem to be faulty ( loose) clips. The idiot who had taken the original bulbs out had loosened them. And as Bazzyboy pointed out in the day light we could not tell that they were flickering or working. I got in touch with HID4U and they were rightly puzzled also. Thought to give them a try in the evening and found that they were flickering, checked the connections and found the fault. They work well and look great. Love em.

I also changed the fog lights and rear plate bulbs. And am very happy with the look and results. Even though I must say that the fogs look better now cosmetically, they will have lost their purpose as yellow light is better in the fog. Incidentally the fog lights flicker even when not on but the angel eyes don't. Thanks again.

Regards,

Shaz

I think I would go with a whiter bulb in the fogs or HID if I could rather than LED. I wonder if now with LED they could be used as Daytime Running Lights?

Turks,

The LED fog lights are white. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere ( might have been HIDS4U website) that they are illegal in the u.k.

Thanks pewters.
