Skid Pan

Post by Sanj » Sun Aug 01, 2010 12:31 pm

So whilst the site was down, I got bored (as usual).

But this mod was always one I wanted to do as I had the right colour and it’s pretty rare. The part is only available in the US (OEM). So here’s a few pics, all off the phone so some not so good.

Will get round to taking some more soon…

Here’s the skid pan as it came to me:

And an after, 5 fixing holes at the bottom that locate into the existing fixtures under the bumper and 3 more you have to make at the top (yes I cr@pped myself Pewters):

You know the score, spent a fortune on the arches, then the iPhone, then this skid pan (and an iPad shortly). Had to try saving somewhere. The job is 'acceptable'. With a better laquer finish it would be perfect but £80 backhander or £19 DIY. No brainer for me at the mo...

Sorry I took a while reading your post, I was distracted by your avatar!

You won't believe this - eBay, UK seller! Brand new and he never fitted it.

I think you forgot to mention road tax, council tax, water, electricity, gas, baby milk etc etc.

We all feel so sorry for you

Looks brilliant - I am desperate for one of these, given how hard they are to get hold of you should have made a mould before you fitted it and could have sold them on ebay!

Where did you get yours from ?
