Intermittent engine vibration/rattle

Guys,

Picked my AUC 2008 SD up three weeks ago. All going well until last week when it started to make an intermittent vibrating/rattling noise as the rpm dropped below 1000 towards idle. No vibrations felt in the car though.

Been to dealer who (surprisingly) heard the noise and said it needed a new piece of trim in the engine bay (clips broken off). They replaced it but the noise still continues - its driving me mad! >:(

It only happens between 1000 rpm and idle, occurs for 3-4 seconds, is intermittent and is defo coming from the engine bay. It reminds me of the noise an engine makes when the power steering is on full lock if that assists?

I have the same car and will check if mine does that too.  I keep thinking my car is making funny noises but it could be me just being paranoid coming from a petrol car after 6 years.
