Fitting 20" wheels instead of my stock 19" will they fit ok?

Post by mickyboy1 » Sat May 05, 2018 9:05 pm

Looking to purchase some 20" wheels for my X6 2009.

The wheels are

Front 10x20, PCD 5x120 ET40 with 275/40/20 tyres
Rear 10x20, PCD 5x120 ET37 with 315/35/20 tyres

i have two questions

1, i have looked at the front tyres that are fitted now and it looks like a large metal part of the suspension is very close to the tyre already will 20" wheels fit ok.

2, I want to purchase spacers and want to know how far i can space out without rubbing the arch.

Hopefully someone has tried this before.

(PS i may purchase H&R sport springs in the future if that makes a difference)

Fronts are fine and match BMW spec.

Rears should be 11j x 20 et37, or did you mistype?  If you meant 11J then that also matches BMW spec.

20” wheels were standard when I bought mine.  I have Style 214 fitted.
