Could I not just buy winter tyres for mine then swap them over?
[/quote]

That's what I've done with mine the past couple of winters, sticking with the 20" wheels (tyres now for sale, if anyone's interested  ;))

The F15 does not look good with anything less than 20" IMO.

How do you find the winter tyres in snow and ice on 20"s

Look at this on eBay  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223159322402

I've found these which are nigh on brand new. My tyres are nearly finished so was thinking maybe buy these, then put winter tyres on my originals.

They were great I thought, no problems at all.

I have this morning pulled the trigger on a full winter set-up bought from a seller in Germany.

19" Style 450 alloys with Michelin Latitude Alpin tyres with the BMW * mark (6.5-7.5mm tread). Wheels are balanced and fitted with RDCi pressure sensors.

Just over £1000 delivered - I think that is pretty decent. Alloys look almost perfect condition.

Photo of the style 450 alloy below which I think sits well on the F15

Can anyone confirm whether the wheels in the gum tree link above will in fact fit a X5?

I was looking at the below from Germany...

Does anyone know if the RDCI (tyre pressure monitoring sensor) will be compatible with our UK F15's?

Hi Matt,

I’m downsizing from my 2014 X5 next month and have a set of the winter wheels in storage at Sytner in Sheffield. I’ve only done 14.5k miles in total in the car, so the winters will have done around 7k.

I don’t have pics as they are in storage but I’m happy to let them go for a reasonable sum if you’re interested.

Rob.

Oops, I pressed next instead of page 2 so didn’t notice Matt is now sorted !

If anyone else wants them, please get in touch.

They’re off my 2014 30d which I’ve PX’d (for a reasonable £27k) and the dealer doesn’t want them. The car’s done 14.5k miles from new so the winters will have done around 7k. No kerbing etc and they’re changed and stored by Sytner BMW every year. They’ve got the TPMS sensors and are just ready to swap straight onto the car.

I’d be looking for a collection price of £800 collected.

Had I known I was going to change the car last time they were on, I would have taken a few pics.

As it is, I can post a pic of Sytner.

I think I’m going to end up taking peanuts from the dealer or just leaving them there.

PM sent. They’re stored at Sytner in Sheffield, or at least their offsite storage facility.

I’ve just checked with Sytner and will have the wheels available next week.

They are 18” double spoke 446 winter wheel and tyre fitted with run flat winter tyres (Pirelli) complete with tyre pressure sensors. Around 7,000 miles from new and for sale at £700 for the complete set, collection only from South Yorkshire.

PM if genuinely interested and I’ll forward pictures as soon as I receive the wheels out of storage.

UPDATE.  Pics now posted in the buy and sell section if anyone is interested.
