Dim headlamps

Post by Al4693 » Thu Dec 20, 2018 2:01 pm

On dipped beams I get little more than a dim yellow glow onto the road making night driving more than a little scary. The headlamp covers are ok - not faded and I have changed the bulbs. The problem seems to be a round opaque screen within the headlamp through which the light shines. The main beam - inner headlamp which doesn't have this screen is much brighter and gives good road illumination. Would putting in higher intensity bulbs make any significant difference?

You could fit a HID kit 6000k will get you a bright white light, plenty on eBay, error free, non flicker and cheap.

just a thought have you checked the voltage your getting at the bulbs i had a car once and was only getting 10 volts hence poor light output , also you may need to address the issue with the screen / lense to benefit from any upgraded bulbs .
