E53 rear wiper working backwards

Weird one this!
My rear wiper has decided to work backwards, like wiping the reg plate!
I have had this happen before and I replaced the whole unit 6 months ago, and now it has done it again.

Any ideas what’s happening here. About to buy a new one, but I would like to find out why it’s happening.

Hi is it possible to undo nut and take arm off and rotate 180 deg? I assume that would work

I am having the same issue. It’s like the motor is running the wrong way!

I would advise the same as the above, undo the securing nut on the washer arm and turn through 180 degrees. Possibly the nut is loose anyway and that’s why it has dropped or turned.
