Auto locking of doors when driving away from standstill

Post by X5-D-Sport » Thu Nov 19, 2020 10:51 pm

I have gotten a replacement X5 recently, lots if issues to fix.

My previous E53 diesel would lock its doors shortly after driving away after getting in..

this car won't do that, it only locks when the button is pressed on the centre console.

Is there a sequence of operations or button presses or some thing to enable the Auto-Door-Lock feature when the car starts moving.
I have looked on You-Tube, but am possibly using the wrong search words,

regards to all

Somebody must have turned the function off.
It needs coding back in with carly or some other coding.

It is a coding function normally done by a Dealer at delivery. As above you’ll need someone to code it for you, or use Carly (or similar).

Have you checked the idrive ? On my E70 and E60 you can enable and disable the auto door locking from the idrive menu.

I’ve coded this on the replacement beast using scanner 1.4.0

Pretty straight forward and at the same time added the lock/unlock bleep.

It’s only a coding option so can’t be set using the key in any sequence etc.
