Anyone here undertake this replacement?
*Crank won't move the glass
*Roof cluster lights don't come on
*06 Driver master window switch doesn't work with the 08 door panels
*06 glass doesn't seem to fit 08 frame
*Need to clean tracks with what

Have a look at RealOEM and see if that helps for parts to see if anything changed. A lot of them look to be the same from 2003 to 2010 however there are three different frames over that time. The glass looks the same.

BMW do a special grease for the sliding mechanism. You could try Isopropyl Alcohol as a cleaning agent. Less likely to attack the plastics.

Wiring may well depend upon what options the donor and receiver car had, as well as build date.

I'm in the 1st stages of replacement. Haven't sorted it all out yet. I've got to take a look a Newtis yet too. Thanks for your reply insight.

Not happy with my progress or results .
Kicking myself! Think I'm going to have to go back to square 1 again...my original frame but use the donor motor.
Bulb was blown on the overhead light bracket.... Now there is leakage from the rear drain lines....never had leakages with the original frame.....Damn!
