If I need to I just put a 3/8" to 1/2" adapter on which sorts that, but my socket set has a full set of both 3/8" and 1/2" over most of the range a car needs up to 19mm, but I don't use it for really 'heavy' stuff as that needs a bigger beast that I would rarely use and at sillier money.  It's just a speedier tool more than anything else.  :)

The complete kit is probably more of a light 'builders' option however it's also good for the car.  :D

Just my input - I got the Clarke half inch chorded impact wrench. Its been awesome, since I don't use it all that often an thought a battery powered one might suffer.

:( I can't use anything like this anymore, after 19 years using pneumatic tooling that'd make your hair turn grey repairing aircraft, I was diagnosed with Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome and told it would be unwise to use any type of power tool.........Sooooooooooo, anyone got any links for a decent spider? Lol  :))

I have invested in the Ryobi range of tools, including their Impact Driver, not scared the car with it yet but the blurb says it will go up to 220Nm so should be a match for most things. Whizzes screws into wood like a treat  >:D

I have the DeWalt driver and have used it for the last 5 years it came with 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2" adapters. Like Richard it is more a speed wrench than an impact driver for me, I much prefer to crack the nut with bar and put final torque in manually.

Just looking at your posts and this one brought a smile to my face the last line about you kicking it and the wife selling your tools off cheap I knock  off about 80% of the real price lol and last thing I got was impact driver and drill same make as yours with the red holdall bag had to hide the bag.
Must be happening all over lol

LOLOLOL
i think the one that upset me the most to buy was the bush tool for the rear ball joints on the x5 ..... i had a laguna tool that should have done the trick but just wouldn't quite do the job

the rest are all standard bits ...... just acquired a finger ratchet that i'm currently hiding from Mrs at the moment lol
