a small detail, but always keen to fit those with the best recommendations...what do you go for?

I've always bought a pair of fronts from the local BMW dealer as there were no others locally available in the north east, even at Halfords.  Cost is a little over £40 for the set (they are different size).  I saw a few months ago the local Halfords now stock them - cost was a shade over £20 each for their own make.  So I went to the local BMW dealers again.  I buy 1 pair every two years, (14k a year) timed just before the MOT is due!  The car (E70 3.0d) is 10 years old, 160k, and still has the original rear blade.

Hope this helps,

Graeme

Eurocarparts for me.  Valeo type as those seem to be OEM.  Not cheap (none are) and last a couple of years depending upon mileage and the amount of grit they have to clear (from tractors and trucks).

I've used Bosch since God was a lad.  Just by chance I've ordered a pair from Opie Oils today for my F25 - £21.29 delivered.  Probably not the same as E70, though.

Euros, CP4L & Halfrauds were all more expensive.

Bosch Aerotwin in Halfords are £39 the pair ,a 24 inch (Ap24u) drivers side and a 20 inch blade (Ap20u) for passenger side. They have cheaper ones but I wouldn't bother .

Just bought Bosch Aerotwins for a new 5 Series, £21 from eBay. Bought the same ones for my other car a couple of years ago and haven't put a foot wrong. Can't believe the price that Main Dealers charge for wiper blades these days!

I bought valeo for my E60 and F10 and each time they made weird noises. Do the E70 ones fit ok. I ended up getting the bmw genuine as they fit ok. Tried Michelin too which worked ok. Are the wipers same size as F10 as I think I’ve a spare pair somewhere.

Mine are on a pivot pin  (2009 car) they don't slide in like that video shows.

Yeh needed the pivot pin ones. Anyway got the valeo from eurocarparts as a xsport suggested and they fit like a glove.

Got a new rubber for the rear wiper for a reasonable £13 ( Motaquip this time ) and they fitted it too for free :D
