Hi all
Just picked up a 52 reg E53. I didn't realise that it had electronic adjustment for the steering wheel. Anyhow it's not working, electric seats work, but can not set memory on them.
There is a loose wire under drivers seat with out a connector.
Please see photo.
Any ideas gratefully received.

The wire is the seat occupancy sensor and yours has been bypassed.
Had the same problem with the wheel adjustment when i got my 52 plate x5.
It's down to the seat memory panel i got a second hand one off the bay but found the one's for land rover ( L 322 )cost less.
