My X5 is a E53 3.0i, recently the engine stalls/flameout suddenly when driving, with the DSC warning light and the warning light "(!)" turned on, and the display showing "Engine Safety Prog". I need to stop the car and restart the engine. Every time the engine restart without any difficulty, but the DSC and (!) light will remain ON during the rest of the journey.
After parking overnight or a few hours, the DSC light and the (!) light will all be gone and everything resumed normal. What is the problem with my car?
