Hmmm. Not good. Hopefully a warranty fix as suggested.

How did this work out? Judging by the for sale section, not so well?

It Sounds like they pulled a bit of a fast one, but I’m wondering if you’ll have much comeback with them given it was 6 months ago?  It is however worth the try.  What I do know is that you have to be a bit careful with the tyre depths on these so as to not screw up the xdrive.  Sounds like you need 4 tyres no matter who is paying  :(

Ooh, story to hear there’s issues. I guess it could always be a coincidence.

So despite being cut off earlier from my 1 month trial, in part due to a global issue with ConnectedDrive, you have to wait until the full 1 month has passed. After it was, the car recognises your trial has ended and that you’ve paid for the full year and kicks into full 1 year mode. It was just unfortunate timing for me.

There are some deals to be had on genuine bmw Carbon bits on feebay if you can get someone to fit them.  Personally, I would steer clear on the cheap Chinese stuff. £600 it may be, but if it’s rubbish...

Wow, sounds awesome. Not sure I’ve got the balls to risk a remap on my car though just yet, do respect!  :D

I regret not specc’ing this  :(

Cracking pic, that paint looks awesome in the sun.  Car looks good in the snow too!

I look forward to hearing the results of this.  :)

If you compare the M50D directly to an RS6 it will no doubt feel slow! Not sure if your RR V8 was a 4.4 TDI or 5 liter supercharged? The M50D is faster than the 4.4 but of course slower than the 5 litre. I also thought the M50D was slow, but that is stepping out of an F10 M5, so most things will be slow after that.

However, to have to remap the M50D seems a bit overkill or just that you need some time to adjust. It is supposed to be a fast SUV (SAV) but in reality quite a few other cars will be faster, e.g. a 335D/535D/X3 35D or even the original Audi SQ5.

Having just swapped from an SQ5, I would say that it’s no quicker, though can be thrown around a little more than the M50d.  Effortlessly quick is how I would deem this car.  :)

Lovely looking car, welcome to the forum.  I’m thinking I may decide to remap one day but I was fully aware of its capabilities when I bought it.  I’m wondering if you should have gone for the X5M instead if you’re hankering after more power already!  :)

I’ve been using the 1 month trial of online entertainment for Deezer and have now bought the full package. I can’t for the life of me work out how to activate the online entertainment voucher to now use the full package though. Any ideas?

What does the checkup mean? Do they do another top up or so?

Yeah, as part of the warranty they check it over to see if it needs a top-up. What I’m not clear on is at who’s expense the top-up would be. I need to check the paperwork!
