My e53 diesel came with a newish set of prestivo pv-s1 fitted they are M+S as well.
Same mileage as you and still on around 6mm even across the tyre and not a bad tyre at all in my opinion and did ok in snow.

What mileage has the car done.
A gearbox service will do no harm and could well sort your problem out.
I had mine done some weeks ago for no particular reason not having any problems and no clunky gear change.
I didn't expect any change just did it because i don't know if/when it had been done and car on 160k.
Well it is so smooooooooth now that is all i can say.

Interesting, is it a bad signal that is overall weak or does it intermittently drop out?

A bit of both really. I’ve ordered another aerial to see if that’s the issue. Also want to update the software on it at some point. It’s finding the time and right weather
What aerial have you ordered.
I have an aftermarket head unit with a dab+ box but the aerial is no good at all.
Any links to a good one anybody.

Shane where you the guy over on Xoutpost ?.
Can't think what that 4th outlet is for it was in a post recently but we don't have it on our e53 3,0d so a blank was fitted to it.

Hi Shane.
Re oil leak have a look round the oil filter housing they tend to leak at the seals where they bolt on.
Also make sure the "O"ring on the filter cap is in the correct grove and not at the top of the thread.

Don't know what make oil and filter they used in mine but it is so smooth now and i thought it was ok before.
Mine is at 166k and the old oil didn't look black like i was expecting it to.
Just found the invoice and it was £137.80 for 6ltr oil 1 filter and an hour labour.

Silly question but have you asked a local bm inde for a price.
Had mine done a few weeks ago for under £150. (mine is a 5 speed).
A m8 of mine had his done but the newer 6 speed and his was over £300 same inde.

FSR is a common fault.
Some get a bit of warning with the fan speed going funny but when mine want the fan just didn't work one day like yours.
