Have you got a Wifi Hotpsot setup? Never tried it myself....
Only used the USB cable.

Audio magically comes through as "line-in",no extra cable required. But I have CCC, not CIC :(
CANBUS should carry it, some people have had luck...others not..

Hi all,

Bit mundane I know...
But does anyone know what decent umbrella fits in the 87cm space in the boot?

Assuming that's what that space is for....  :)
Cheers

Had mine done last Thursday.
Fluid that came out didn't look that bad but the difference is well it's so smooooth now and it was ok before i thought.

Had mine done today. OMG, the difference!  :o
Like you say, soooooo smoooth now! :) Although I was suffering from some intermittent lurching on mine.
Mine has done 75k. The garage said that my oil in the box wasn't the cleanest they had seen.  ::)

I have the non powered version too. Doesn't sound too bad....
What does yours sound like?
Maybe your struts are worn?

More than 20MPG!! Luxury! :)
I seem to be getting about 16MPG in my 3.0SD. But I am mainly doing 2-5 miles journeys at the moment.  :-[

I've had FSR issues in the past on E46's and am familiar with the symptoms which (as far as I know) were things like blower randomly blowing fast/slow or hot/cold by itself.

I've never had issues with the blowers making a loud motor/screeching type of noise when the FSR was faulty so I doubt it's that but will certainly look into it just in case.

You are probably right, but I have heard of a quite different symptoms from faulty FSRs on the same model.

Had a similar thing on my old e46. Have a search for Final Stage Resistor (FSR)

Awesome!! Let us know how it goes!
Are the amps a direct swap? Or is there much cable splicing to be done?

Been thinking the same......
Maybe at the very least colour coded trim!
Also check out, the "Aero kits"  kits on ebay.
Isn't going to work out cheap though :(

Silly question perhaps.  Is sport mode exclusive to the M-Sport or an added option?  and not available on the SE?

**Assume you refer to manual, was checking if there was a super duper sport button :o)**

It's on the SE too. Push the stick to the left. Moves it to Sport/Manual mode.
The is also another optional "Sport mode" located just behind the gear stick. This for Adaptive Drive suspension mode. Picture here:

Hopefully your Great Dane will happily just jump in the back. My Labrador will happily jump into the back of an estate car but refuses point blank to jump into the X5! I end up having to lift him in while i'm sure my Labradoodle sits there laughing.

Can't help with the dog guard I just put the rear headrests in their highest position that deters them from climbing through.

Yeah my Labradoodle, is none to pleased about the leap! If I take a run up with him, he will sometimes leap in. It's psychological, I have seen him leap up and down much higher platforms! :)

Did you pay for fitting or self fit? My E70 2008 model will be delivered later this week and I’m going to move the dension kit across from my old E70 - can’t find any details on how to get the cd changer out yet though.

Guide here https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/x5-e70-forum/62218-x5-e70-glovebox-cd-changer-remover.html

I paid for fitting.
The cd changer needs the surround popped off first. Trim tool around side should pop off the clips 4 I think.
Then you see the hex screws holding in place. Needs a firm yank to get it out.
