Re: Who's wearing their winters, I am?
You're right, sensors on the valves are not required on the E70 but are on the later F15's

Re: Who's wearing their winters, I am?
Sensors would be the cheaper option. I think they are between £80-£90 each. Cotswoldbnwmini might do a site special price :D I bought a set of four of eBay for £160 that are pre programmed for the car, I’ll be fitting soon so I’ll let you know if they work. Don I've seen them on eBay but didn't kno...

Re: Who's wearing their winters, I am?
I’ll be putting mine on next week. I had wanted to put 19” on but unfortunately they don’t fit so no option but to stick with 20”. I know they will be better that what comes off but would have rather had narrower wheels. Don I tried my 19" winter wheels on my 50d yesterday and they fit over th...

Re: Torque settings for wheel nuts
I do 140 Nm for the studs but 130Nm for the locking wheel nut so they don't get seized on.

Re: Changed the X5 for an X6
I went the same way in 2015 changing my E70 for the F16 and agree with your comments regarding ride and fuel economy, ownership for 3 years and nothing but impressed with the whole package. Have just extended the BMW warranty although apart from a boot lid issue at the begining, nothing has gone wr...

Changed the X5 for an X6
Traded in the 40d X5 last week for an X6 M50d. Went away on holiday with it almost immediately for a week so the pics of the car are not showing it at it's clean best. Very impressed with it so far, power is fantastic and the ride is better than the E70. Just waiting for the log book to come back so...

Re: Current road speed limit sign on dash
I think so as I have pedestrian alert and front collision warning, but I'm not sure. Is there any way of telling if it has cameras? Just got the car so still playing with it

Re: Current road speed limit sign on dash
I've got it sorted, pressing the end of the indicator stalk scrolls through options on the dash and one of them is the speed sign. Thanks anyway

Current road speed limit sign on dash
Does anyone know how to get the speed limit sign on the dash, it shows the speed limit of the road you are driving on? I test drove a 2015 car and this feature was on the dash but a week later I can't get the symbol up again. I think it has something to do with speed limit info, but even after readi...

Re: Who Supplies OEM Towbars?
Just been looking at the posts in the F16 part of the forum and one post said their X6 had a factory fitted Bosal bar, so wonder if these are the OEM ones?
