Re: DPF
Update....... I used the Carly app to clear codes but it still wouldn't work. After researching I found out that you need to keep clearing the codes every 5 seconds, this was on done IPNA software. So what I did is just highlight the 480A code and kept clearing that whilst on the motorway for about ...

Re: DPF
Both stats changed and temp now 90, all codes cleared.
I've tried doing a regenerate using Carley but it won't as I'm unable to clear 480A code, the 481A cleared and the exhaust back pressure code cleared too.

DPF
My DPF light came on the CCC last week, thankfully I was still able to drive. I know I need to change my coolant thermostat as the car doesn't go above 65 so I thought I might as well get that changed and the codes reset as I couldn't do it on Carley. I put that down to the thermostat not getting to...

Re: RECALL: 25 February - heating wiring
I just called my dealer and I had two recalls, first was to replace the alternator screws and second was to check and replace if needed the heating wiring.

Throttle body
After getting my car back I noticed a shudder when I turn the car off, I ran Carly through it and the fault was the throttle body. After some research a few people confirmed the shudder at turn off and extra revs before gear change and of course I'm losing about 5-7mpg. Anyway, part ordered and will...

Re: Rear Diff
All driving well, I ran Carly through and it picked up 54C6 error which is the diff oil change. This has been done as a new diff was put in, any idea how to reset or delete? Carly is unable to do this. Also, as I've had the gear box fluid done is it worth resetting the adaptive drive? I think it's p...

Re: Rear Diff
**UPDATE** I got the rear diff from the link above, the chap whose company it is was really good. He talked the mechanic through what needs to be done and what oil he wanted in the diff for warranty purposes  . Basically he has up-rated the diff so it's similar to the 2016 version. I have ...

Transfer case fluid
Evening
Anyone know what transfer case fluid is needed?
I'm having the gear box fluid done and know that's a ZF fluid but not too sure for transfer case.
Thanks

Rear Disc Size
I'm a bit confused over the rear disc size, I know there are two size 320 & 345. I looked on Realoem see link below and it comes up Nation version china 320. I'm presuming that the disc size is 320 but would like a second opinion before I buy them from Euro as they got 50% at the moment. http://...

Re: Rear Diff
Thanks x5sport, always used star rated tyres. I look forward to kkx5's response. I might as well get the transfer box and gear box oil changed whist the diff is being done. Luckily I have a car I can use whilst sourcing a diff. There are a few lower ratio diff but mine had to be the higher one didn'...

Today my rear diff went at 125K, should it go at this millage? I'm thinking of getting a reconditioned one from flee bay; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RECON-X5-E70-3-64-REAR-DIFF-STRONGER-7602984-7552527-755252705-BMW-UPGRADE/163488721988?hash=item2610afec44:g:vwgAAOSwoZlcHAI3:rk:2:pf:0 Your thoughts ...
