Has anyone retrofitted satnav in their car just wondered what I need in the car as got the Idrive but no sat nav looking at what hard ware I need and then what I need to get it up and running in the car

According to Realoem, you need this lot.....I picked a random build month so it may be wrong.

It’s taken from the on line copy of the BMW Parts database. If you use the last 7 characters of the VIN in the ‘Serial Number’ box it will bring up your model.  Check in the ‘retrofittings’ area.

It won’t be cheap!  The EBA reference is to the instructions.

Will also be worth using a BMW vin decoder to check your actual build spec (bmwvin dot com) options to see what might also need.
