Well for me there is no shadow of a doubt it was /is the ribbon cable at back of screen as it was the only thing that worked for me. I look on the bright side at least I'm now confident in digging around and taking stuff apart.

Well, mine has been fine since I started this thread, but when I went out to the X today to go to work it was all washed out again. It was a very damp morning here in the northeast. I really need to have a look at the connections.
But will have to wait now until I return from Dubai in a couple of weeks :P :camera:
